چکیده
Context . Thanks to more than 20 yr of monitoring, the radial velocity (RV) method has detected long-period companions ( P > 10 yr) around several dozens stars. Yet, true nature these remains unclear because uncertainty as inclination companion orbital plane. Aims We wish constrain and mass single companions. Methods used a Markov chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) fitting algorithm combine RV measurements with absolute astrometry and, when available, relative data. Results have lifted sin( i ) indetermination for seven find masses in planetary range candidate planets following systems: Epsilon Indi A, HD 13931, 115954, 222155. The 219077 b is close deuterium-burning limit its uncertain imprecise host star. Using additional measurements, we refine parameters HIP 70849 range. By combining data astrometry, significantly improve characterization 211847 B properly determine mass, which appears be low-mass star This work illustrates how Gaia H IPPARCOS allow properties further constrained.

Combining Astrometry and Spectroscopy
Orbital solutions for binary or multiple stellar systems that combine astrometry (e.g., position angles and angular separations) with spectroscopy (radial velocities) have important advantages over astrometric-only or spectroscopic-only solutions. In many cases they allow the determination of the absolute masses of the components, as well as the distance. Yet, these kinds of combined solutions ...
متن کاملAbsolute motions of globular clusters . II ⋆ HST astrometry and VLT radial velocities in NGC 6397
In this paper we present a new, accurate determination of the three components of the absolute space velocity of the Galactic globular cluster NGC 6397 (l ≃ 338◦, b ≃ −12◦). We used three HST/WFPC2 fields with multi-epoch observations to obtain astrometric measurements of objects in three different fields in this cluster. The identification of 33 background galaxies with sharp nuclei allowed us...
متن کاملFrom Reference Frames to Relativistic Experiments: Absolute and Relative Radio Astrometry
Reference systems and frames are crucial for high precision absolute astrometric work, and their foundations must be well-defined. The current frame, the International Celestial Reference Frame, will be discussed: its history, the use of the group delay as the measured quantity, the positional accuracy of 0.3 mas, and possible future improvements. On the other hand, for the determination of the...
متن کاملEfficient Fitting of Multi-planet Keplerian Models to Radial Velocity and Astrometry Data
We describe a technique for solving for the orbital elements of multiple planets from radial velocity (RV) and/or astrometric data taken with 1 m/s and μas precision, appropriate for efforts to detect Earth-massed planets in their stars’ habitable zones, such as NASA’s proposed Space Interferometry Mission. We include details of calculating analytic derivatives for use in the Levenberg-Marquard...
متن کاملImproving the Absolute Astrometry of HST Data with GSC-II
We have used the new GSC-II to significantly improve the absolute astrometric accuracy of a large number of ACS datasets from the first years of ACS operations, reducing the initial levels of uncertainty (typically 1 2”, or more in some cases) to an accuracy of about 0.1 0.3”. There are typically enough GSC-II objects in the field of view of the ACS/WFC detectors to enable a robust solution to ...
